2013 OEM'd Elite Peloton Bikes

The innner ring had another informative story with 2013 elite teams and their equipment sponsors. We're down to a pretty small list of actual providers for 2013 equipment, again.

The frame providers is an extremely short list.

Giant: Giant, Trek
Merida: Merida and Specialized
Known OEM Buyers: BMC, Felt, Focus, Pinarello, Bianchi, Ridley, Scott, Cervelo

Orbea actually owns the production facility.

BMC? I thought that at least some team frames were manufactured in Switzerland at the automated factory?

Trek? Team frames made in Wisconsin?

Cannondale?

Yep. Still hand made in Wisconsin.

The rumor is several thousand made annually in the U.S. How many elites ride the U.S. production? What the vast, vast majority of people buy and get the Brodeal on is the OEM stuff.

Cannondale does not own any U.S. manufacturing. It's a Dorel brand and they order everything.

BMC is rumored to do one frame in-house. The Impec. How many people buy an Impec?? Does every rider, every UCI classification get an Impec? 99.8% of sales is OEM'd.

Looking backwards, I wasn't clear enough.
