Contador to go nuts with a solo attack from Glandon, Froomes resolve to be tested, Quintana to win.

Hopefully Schleck in the break, and will place well or even win.

I love these threads arriving early!

Well in my view - you gotta attack early doors.

But in reality who has the legs

Surely Saxo are still the strongest team and must send Kreuziger up the road.

Maybe Valverde ?

Valverde finishing just behind Froome today - what could have been ?

If Quintana has balls of steel - could he break Froome on the Madeleine.

Minutes could drop by the second. . . . . .

this stage should be epic, if saox have any morale left. I fear movistar are happy to ride for 2nd. I also hope purito feels motivated, to really fire this one up

He didn't mention "full ***", "marginal gains", or "Froomestrong to win by ten minutes rofl". I give his effort 3/10.

I think it may be tough for a breakaway to establish early on that first climb as there may be attacks from the GC boys.

Yes. The early stage should decimate sky and therefore this is much better suited to long range attacks than l'Alpe. Unfortunately 2-5 (in the GC) are so close that they might just shut each other down until the end.

I can see Quintana riding defensively to protect his podium spot, not so Contador. I have no idea who's going to win though. It's not a mountain finish so I'm hesitant to consider Froome.

I'll be disappointed if Nairito doesn't even try to drop Contador. He could do it without problems.

Outsider or Purito/Valverde ftw.

I guess Nieve could be a bit spent from today. While Schleck seemed to ride at his own pace the second time up to alpe. So Schleck or Klöden.
