2013 Tour de Suisse, Stage 3: Montreux - Meiringen 204.9 km

profile-03.jpg

Onward to the next GC stage.

Pretty boring for the first 175km with the climb from Lac Leman to establish the break.

Hasliberg looks interesting, but will the 20% bit be enough to break the field?

Edit: can a mod please change the title to stage 3?

i'm starting to like him more and more, awesome rider

There are a couple of hairpins on the way down from Brünig. Offer nice views too. But not really technical enough for a great descender to make much difference.

Edit: thank you, to whoever it was who changed the thread title.

Weather: light rain expected

I expect a small group to make it to the finish.

Visconti perhaps if he's maintained his Giro form, Gilbert if it comes down to a slightly larger reduced sprint but with not many sprinters left, a GC contender like Ryder or Rui if they set the downhill alight, Ulissi or Moser maybe from a reduced bunch, but somehow I keep coming back to one guy.

Sagan to give us a taste of what we will see in the Tour and fire a warning shot across the heads of Cav, Kittel, Griepel and the other sprinters.

I think is going to be more selective than today's one... Less diferences at the finish line though.

Still good for the uphill sprinters called climbers :D such as Mollema, Martin, Ulissi... I think will be for Diego Ulissi if there's a little of carnage in the climb...

If people climb at Orica's tempo then Moreno Moser or Giovanni Visconti. Peter Velits and Georg Preidler as "outsiders"

Good night guys.

It is a beautiful night... Oh baby, i think i wanna marry you:D:D:D

After the prologue (stage 1) Mollema was 41 seconds down on Meyer. Mollema took 27 seconds off Meyer on stage 2. Yet he remains 34 seconds behind him on the GC.

Obviously I have missed something. There is 20 seconds gone AWOL somewhere. Could somebody explain?
