In LBL he had been all alone on the attack for 20km or so. This is different. Think Cotobello 2010.
My point was: how he looks when he really cracks.

When was the last time someone this young was this good at their first GT? It has to be quite a while.

That he seems to have arrived into the pro ranks with the racing brain of a wily veteran is all the more remarkable. He did Uran over there.

Nibali showed a slight weakness yesterday but it was difficult to take advantage with a bit if headwind around and he defended well

Warren sensational. Chapeau! Obviously Nibs cracked big time. Good for him it happened today before rest. Valverde was right yesterday when he saw Nibali having signs of weakness.

Could someone explain why Valverde stopped when he was leaving everyone else behind? On Spanish TV they talked about front wing but it can't be true!

It looked quite windy.

But anyway. Valverde messed up the whole stage. Not the last 3km.

"The DS told me to hang back in the peloton and save myself for next week, but he told me the same in the day I won my first stage so I went anyway."

Legend.

Warren Barguil; I freaking love you!

Hey. He's only four years younger than me. It's not that creepy! :p

22 seconds is a lot to lose in just about a km. Nibali was lucky that they didn't turn on the pace earlier.

Barguil is great in this Vuelta. Kinds of reminds me of Freire in his cunning (obvious not the type of rider). Shame for Uran though, 3rd in Lombardia last year, 2nd in the Giro '13 and the Olympics, he is bound to win a big one soon surely.

He took a stage win at Giro ;)

Pinot's 2012 tour was his first GT .

OMG! He confirms on Spanish TV that it was too wind and too early!

Too early?????? 3 km from the top!! With this attitude he will never win a GC again...

If he had used his team better he could have fought for the win. But no, they ****ed it away with Katusha.

Sagan in terms of winning stages. Quintana (was slightly older, Schleck was younger when he finished 2nd in the Giro though) in terms of climbing. So rather recent but not exactly bad company :D

Barguil wasnt in the first breakaway as Urán, so he was less tired and he attacked in the right moment. Urán was the strongest today, but he played bad his options in the last km.

Katusha at least had Gusev pull Murito for a bit in the final.

Valverde will win this. Only cold whether can stop him and maybe Purito. Nibali is cooked (only cold whether can save him) and Horner is..old? It's going to be hard for him in third week, maybe Kiserlovski can help him. But Movistar will now burn out peloton in the final week.

True but they should never had let the break get so far away, although I mostly blame Movistar. Two guys in the break for no reason at all.
