Txurruka to win from the break. Either that or he's caught but gives one last effort to help Cardoso or Arroyo win instead :)

this is a good chance for Henao to get a stage win. Other obvious picks are Purito and Valverde.

Astana might choose to let a break go and get the jersey.

Astana will controll it. No big differences, but Nibali or Tira in red after the stage.

This.

Think Astana will get help from Katusha and AG2R to set up Purito and Betancur for a stage win.

A Tira in form is very good at single mtf. His kick is one of the best in the peloton, so I would hope he will be up there tomorrov. But then again I havent really seen the profile of the last hill/mountain so perhaps it is not to his liking.

Yes. Game over for Valverde, Henao and Rodriguez. The great "Tira" is racing.

talking about red, doubt he can win, but become the best placed Astana rider and taking red is a very strong possibility..

Not really. He would have to be about that level to take red.

or Nibali has to be quite weaker than expected

Weather: There will be sunny weather in all this first stage.

Winds: It will blow light at general in this journey, but rather strong in the coastal road stretches. It will blow Northeasterly and Northerly wind. It will blow favourable in the first partas far as Nigrán, from left side in the central part, favourable between Ponteareas and A Guarda, contrary later as far as Baiona and favourable in the last mountainous high.

how is the profile? it looks like a stage where 20ish people will get to the finish line within 20 - 30 sec. JRod, Valverde getting 5 sec on a bigger group just behind them kind of stage.

GC men sprint, Piti or Purito FTW, Nibali to place well. Hopefully enough to get red (I want those CQ points ). If someone breaks away to hold on for the win then maybe Betancur, but he might need a couple days of racing to get into his groove.

Yes, but are his sensations good I wonder.

He says he has good feeling after Burgos and the altitude training the team did and aims for a top 15.

We wait to see.
