The most promising stage!

Will saxo finally step up their game? It's about time

Rain?

In this link you'll find the detailed profiles, can't post the pic (prob my bad)

The race website has good profiles, including the individual climbs. Sanchez compared this stage to the horror stage in the Tirreno, and if the weather is like today, he could be right. Sky should be easily breakable on this stage, if someone dares to do so.

This stage can be real good but i'm afraid guys like Contador and quintana won't attack until that last muur. Too steep for it's own good? I think so.

Sky has 2 guys, that's a serious problem. You gotta try and isolate them but how are you gonna do that when they're 2 of the 4 strongest in the race?

Is it me or this stage looks like the penultime stage of the Tirreno Adriatico where the Peloton was fragmented into pieces!

With rain this will be even worse :D

Sky are not exactly super dominant - yet. Movistar, Katusha and even effin' AG2R should be able to do something if they dare. Anton also need to step up and make some carnage on his home roads.

Do you think that it is easy to read from the profile that the second last climb only is 3km long? And it seems like the third last is steeper than the second last, even though the numbers have it the other way around. Bad profile.

Well tbh the competitors will be most interested in getting rid of Porte and then take their chances with Henao in the TT

sky could have lost maybe the overall even today to velits if movistar wouldn't have chased. no one can control tomorrow's stage
i go with betancur to win the stage and take the leader's jersey too. it will be all over the place tomorrow

I don't know what you're talking about, but I meant the profiles you've just posted yourself.

The thing is, one will have to sacrifice himself for the other at some point. Sky can't control a stage like this with just 4 guys.

True that. If Porte is done for i think contador can win.

Normally contador would crush anyone on this kinda TT.

On the profile Gabiria still seems steeper than Barbaris.

EDIT: And Barbaris seems to be 10km on the profile. Instead of the 2.9km.

I don't know about that. It depends on the race situation. If Contador goes at 40 km then ok but if he or quintana only goes on the last climb then not really.

I hope movistar will work together with saxo.

Some Colombian for the win, hopefully Quintana or Betancur. Would really like to see Quintana take some big time on Porte heading into the TT.

Also hope that Contador does something. He's been far too underwhelming this race.

Again, the key for Sky is that they don't let the Movistar guys not that far down on GC get in the break. Or at the very least don't let Kreuziger get away so Saxo will have to help at some point. Attack will be the best form of defence for Porte and Henao at some stage. Maybe on the second to last climb.

In my opinion, SkyTrain performed better than expected today, especially when Movistar bought the bluff (?) and helped bring back the breakaways.

AG2R surprisingly played the right cards today - both in the breakaway and in hanging on the end. Not sure if they really have the will to go for the GC or just accumulate WT points, regardless Peraud and Betancour will be factors tomorrow supported by Gadret.

Team Saxo were shambolic yesterday and I expect Contador just to continue to hang onto the tails of other teams. It is sad not see him attacking on final climbs.
