Thought this amazing race deserved a thread. Afterall, It is the ''Most anticipated race''.

Race to be broadcast by Eurosport. 11am CET.

I'm going for Kittel to get another GC win on the palmares.

Or maybe Guardini.

Line up for United Arab Emirates' team:

141.ALBALOOSHI Majed
142.ALBALOOSHI Mansoor
143.ALMANSORY Ahmed Yousef
144.ALMANSUORY Mohammed
145.ALMURAWWI Mohamed Hasan
146.ALTANI Khaled
147.MIRZA Yousef Mohamed
148.AHMAD Qayed

Wth is Mirza doing here?

Crosswinds could make this quite exciting, the maximum gradient on Qatar is probably %2 but that doesnt stop good racing happening in the past

The stage route designs don't look as conducive to crosswinds though, mostly staying in and around the city where the multitude of high buildings will cut out much of the wind's effect. Qatar is full of open routes from point to point and corniche finishes which does mean that the likelihood of crosswinds affecting the race is higher. We have to hope for wind though - it may be our only hope.

AWOL Mohammed disappeared, so MIRZA Yousef is his replacement.

IS there any chance for crosswinds?

Because it doesn't look like there will be any selection going on on the "hilly" stage

I dont like these countries, but anyway I find interesting the 3rd stage. Of course will be crosswinds, but there are some hills, and the las km is uphill as well.
When you have just one selective stage, it will be riden as a clasic.. of course the favourite is Sagan, but there will be selection, at least the selection you can have in Stirling in Australia, but I hope more, plus the wind.

Wind of 40km/h on the stage to Palm Island according to the forecast, from the west, so the last few km's should be open and have decent crosswinds, I guess.
