Based on the video, Contador didn't looked that good. No real blistering attack. So he will have a hard time even play a major factor in Lombardia imo, if he's just going to ride with the big favourites to the final.

Aru and Purito gave me the best impression of the riders behind Caruso/Nocentini. Moreno also really solid.

Once super (end of season) Zaugg hits the front there will be no need for tactics . I expect him and Contador to do a 60km solo, with Contador struggling to stay on his wheel and him granting Zaugg the win.

Ha! Well, I will admit to wondering whether they aren't planning something, because if they leave it too late, it will not be their race. But I am not sure whether at this stage of the season and given the season he's had, he won't have it in the legs.

I think expectations have been a tad unrealistic for M-T and probably for Lombardia…can't expect him to win every race, particularly ones he's not totally suited for. Sadly.
