2014 USA Men's Road Cycling Championships

The main site still hasn't put up a start list, but I've worked one up using the registration list then sorting it by ProTour/Pro Continental/Continental teams (then alphabetically by team). Would I be violating any forum rules if I posted it here?

Only eleven ProTour riders racing in Chattanooga this year, with Garmin Sharp sending six, Cannondale one, and BMC three (but two of those are Taylor Phinney and Peter Stetina).

I feel kind of sorry for the guys riding for non-US based Continental teams showing up to ride alone.

Well, nobody said I couldn't or shouldn't, so here's what I have for the start list for Monday's men's road race in Chattanooga. (I'm hoping to sneak down there to watch, it's about a five hour drive I think.)

Edited the start list to remove Alder Martz from the Hincapie Sportswear Development Team, who reports via twitter that he's been rescheduled to do the Memorial Day Weekend Races in the Quad Cities instead of Chattanooga.

I just hope the star spangled jersey comes to the WT peloton. Don't really care who wins.

I'd say odds are good that we'll see the Stars and Stripes on a time trialist's back, at least, with Taylor Phinney participating and on form (see the article on Tom Zirbel at the main CyclingNews site).

I think the road race is pretty wide open, at least among the two dozen or so top competitors. I'm rooting for Phil Gaimon, but if it comes down to a sprint, your guess is as good as mine.

+1, same here. Would love to see it on Phinney's back. He'd show it off well.

Here, let me try this. Here's the description of the course from USACycling:

A challenging new section has been added to the road race course, but downtown Chattanooga and the tough climb up Lookout Mountain will be featured prominently as they were in 2013. The men’s and women’s races will begin with a 5.1-mile start circuit — three circuits for the women and four for the men. The course then takes the riders on a relatively flat run out Broad Street to begin the climb up Ochs Highway. The ascent up Ochs Highway is approximately 2.75 miles and climbs over 1,100 feet each lap. The race will pass through Lookout Mountain to Scenic Highway, and return to downtown via Broad Street. Men will complete four laps up the climb, while the women will do two laps. The “long lap” is 16.5 miles in distance.

New for the race this year is the “wall” in North Chattanooga up Kent Street, a one-block section of road with grades of up to 20 percent. The men and women will face this challenge on each of the “long laps” as well as on three shorter 5.4-mile finishing circuits. The course will cross the Market Street Bridge and Veterans Bridge each lap, and spectators will see the riders cross through the start/finish line 11 times during the men’s race and eight times during the women’s race.

And I think this will upload the course profile:
