Sagan ofcourse. Today won't be hard enough to drop him. Mind you, he was close to rejoining the leading group yesterday, so imagine what he can do when the climb is easier.
today is harder than yesterday
No it isn't. Yesterday was 2x 3.9km @ 8.9%. Today is 5.2km @ 6.8% followed by a technical descent and then 3.3 @ 7.1% with 5km to the line.
that's just numbers. today is definitely harder in my book. also with the gothard in the beginning

And this.

Sagan stands little chance if they race like yesterday, which seems pretty likely.

I think it is pretty much impossible to bet on Sagan.
If he is climbing like in California then I think he will make it, if yesterday is where he is at then he won't.
He always manages to surprise though.

if he does make it tbh I would be extremely surprised. I expect a late Kwia attack ftw.

I don't really see a difference between his climbing in California and yesterday. He did very well yesterday, but Suisse simply has a stronger field.

It always amazes me that no matter what race we're talking about it, Kwiatkowski only has to be in it to be mentioned by half the forum members as a huge favourite. True, he is a versatile and very talented rider, but how can anyone see him winning today when he so obviously does not have a lot of form atm? His prologue was poor, and his climbing yesterday even poorer.

Was that a rhetorical question? Kwiatkowski is just very hyped. You should have seen last year ;)

To be fair last year he lived up to the hype (except for Tour).
This year his form is subpar bu 2nd in Paris-Nice and won Classic is nothing to scoff at.
I don't know if it is true but I heard that he went to Sierra Nevada with a team for altitude training? Probably first time in his career. Maybe he didn't respond very well to it
