Though this ^ doesn't really correspond with another profile I found:

(The first pass they only go to km 3.2 on the profile)

Long ride along the coast. North east - eastern wind, 4 bft, but it's still a long way to go when they leave the coast and go inland. Not a very hot day. Around 23°C.

Come on Purito, show me what you've got! :)

But i reckon guys like Chaves and Aru are fresher.

Can anyone explain me why this climb is two categories higher than the mtf from stage 2?
I really have enough of short climbs at the end of a flat stage. Cant wait for the 2nd week.

Are you the one who said a couple of days ago you love those uphill sprints? ;)

Apparently, the short but sharp descent before the final "climb" is quite tricky.

Expect some of the big names to start Cumbre del Sol bad positioned.

WTF is with the profiles from Unipublic? Dan Martin was also complaining about that, saying that they were waiting for 14-15% ramps that ended up being 5% so everyone was holding back their attacks.

Chaves FTW again? Or is he a marked man because of his red jersey. Maybe Purito will finally shine.

I don't remember it but maybe. :D
However that was probably after the first or second one but this is the 5th short uphill finish in 8 days and that is simply too much, which is the reason why I am already sick of it

Those profiles are truly awful indeed

I agree about the profiles. I keep looking at the profiles and at the kms from the screen and nothing matches. Why can they provide better profiles? or is the problem with the GPS?

Yes, these kind of stages are becoming repetitive. But the stage of today was really interesting. Just a pity for the falls.

Such an exciting profile, compare this with the first week of the giro...

The Giro makes transitional stages better than the best stages of the Tour/Vuelta.

Giro had Sestri Levante, La Spezia, Abetone, Fiuggi, Campitello Matese and San Giorgio del Sanno in the first week.

Don't think this weeks profiles are better than the first week in the Giro.

Edit: Sarcasm? You had me :D

There will be great scenery at the finish :) No Dan Martin :(

They'll mark Chaves more closely, but he'll still be near the front.

1. Purito
2. Bala
3. Aru
4. Chaves
5. Majka
6. Nairo
7. (according to CN) Some random guy from MTN

They are stupid if they just look at the profiles of la Vuelta, thay have time enough to study the profile of that climbs... I do that even in the winter, and they are getting money with cycling.

Today is very easy.

It doesn't look to tricky, unfortunately: Google Maps.

Tomorow is not just un uphill, the end is quite hard.

We can compare even with la Camperona, who was an important day last year (but with the long San Glorio and other climbs before) it is a mixture between today Cresta del Gallo and La Camperona.

It's mighty steep though, and pavement doesn't look the best in the beginning.
