Looks like a sharp corner right before that hill at 2km is about to start. Good for a puncheur. Gilbert is a 100% certainty to attack there. Kwiatkowski will try too I think.

Thanks for the stage threads Flamin. I appreciate it

Also a 40% chance of (light) rain in Lugo. Not bad.

No problem.

Will someone post the last 3km here after the stage, please?

If I think about that, I will. I'm unlikely to watch anyway though, so don't count on me.

Thanks. I will try to post there after the stages I have seen live, since you might as well just follow (most of) this Vuelta that way.

Someone can definatly win solo here, Vino won at the same finish in 2006

Another successful breakaway please!!! perhaps another French win 😀

meanwhile the peloton just chilling......

maybe someone can, but it was not the same finish at all, they finished on the Av. de Madrid back then

2006 was (much) harder?

I'm looking at the startlist to see if there is a French uphill sprinter somewhere. .....

Hurrah! Tony Hurel ftw! 😀

A nice relaxing day for the peloton ... though a bet on a crash at the finish might be smart - not the world's best sprint trains and not many chances for glory to come.

Machado and Morice in the break, no one else cared, as expected.

Machado seems desperate for a new contract. Things don't look nice for him. He could easily find a team in PCT level, but is clearly fishing for another WT chance.

He was supposed to be the second coming of Agostinho and a better rider than Costa...

it doesnt look that rainy but Zoidl went down and Fisher already out...

terrible weather, will wear the riders down after the heat f the previous days...
