Again SafeBet scores well down in the bunch, but the team in second does not take advantage: we have however seen in the 2020-22 game his ability to fight back in year three. Greenedge's dominant win this month doesn't move him up from 3rd, but means that at least the fight for second could be close over the last year of this edition.

No changes in the top 9, but big strides forward not far behind that for Leadbelly and Los Brolin. They were among the teams with the lowest pre-game scores, and therefore perhaps more of the riders who are still on a steeper upwards trajectory: these two might make inroads in year 3.

End of Year 2

A couple of selected riders picked up points in the dog days of the year:Lukas Kubis took 19 points from a bunch of Moroccan races in early November for Josedin, and Bryan Raul Obando Rosa (I'm assuming he is the same person as Brayan Obando) earned Jakob747 6 points in the Vuelta al Ecuador (and I have also added the same rider's 8 points from the 2021 edition of that race, absent from CQ's end of year file that year).
Neither manager gains any places in the table from these points.

Kudos to Leadbelly for identifying the phenomenon that is Arnaud De Lie a year earlier than anyone else. I guess the contrary kind of policy that makes him frequently one of the lowest on the popular picks ranking here was likely to come up trumps at some point.

I note that Bminchow is actually doing better than Safebet in terms of their top picks, but strength in depth is a thing.

It has been a dominant performance so far from SafeBet, but just ask Jon Ezeitza about Cordi's Year 3 capabilities. One year to go to see how important the absence of Vansevenant might be, or which riders that have yet to make their breakthrough can shake things up.
