The issue copying and pasting is maybe because the forum changed format?

@CParsons (admin) has been very helpful and patient: as he explains it (or as I, with no computing background*, believe he is explaining), there are elements of what is copied and pasted from Excel that should have been identified as invalid BBCode, but it was somehow being processed correctly. Whether it is the upgraded XenForo software, or the removal of the site-specific theme/skin, that has prevented the error being overridden he is not sure.

So apparently I have been carried along by the happy, if unintended, collusion of two errors for years. But I have discovered an Excel to BBCode translator that means a little bit of extra copying and pasting, but isn't too onerous.

@skidmark : you might need to look at something similar for the next Main Game update.

*: My only computing training/education was programming in BASIC on one of these, with audio cassette for storage (and my school was ahead of the curve).
