I picked Bini for the Giro as part of my non-European lineup, and he crashes out after three-and-a-bit days.
I didn't pick him for the Tour - despite him fitting my selection criteria - and he wins two stages...

What were your criteria?

And has anyone spotted the principle behind Samu's team? It is doing rather better than a selection not made on the grounds of "I think this is the best I can construct within the budget" should be able to expect.

Because they are in the top ten, I have applied the tie-breaker to Kazistuta and Lecko. I give a higher placing to the team that has the lesser reliance on riders that give many points. They both have Roglic as their highest putative scorer, but then Lecko's second highest is Gee (215), while Kazistuta's is Ciccone (112), so it is Kaz who gets the top ten spot.

Among the losses are the first DNFs affecting the game this time. All our riders have 20 points at least for GC, as finishing the Tour gives 20 CQ points, regardless of position. Those of us who have Wright, Declercq and/or Izagirre lose that 20 points for each of them, but retain any stage points they have (Wright has 3 from stage 8)

Roglic withdrawing is a blow for the race, and a serious blow to ten teams here. Apart of course from not getting any future points, he loses 262 points that he had from his GC and mountains classifications placings.

We are better collectively than individually: the Collective Wisdom team would be out front with 1189. But even if we had the extra 417 points in the budget, how many of us would actually reach the 1208 of Pogacar + the seven cheapest riders?

Havent had a look here for some days. Quite surprised I'm in the lead right now as one of my expensive picks with Sam Bennett was nearly a no show and I still havent understood the point regulations of this game.
