It would need something like 2nd in the ITT from Mas, or two of Dunbar, Riccitello and Lafay getting 3rd and 5th, for TRiley to overhaul DJW, who has dominated this.classification. If Ion Izagirre doesn't win tomorrow, it is out of reach for Rufs.

Sam6 probably thought that when Caruso DNFed he could no longer top any lists, as TRiley has exactly the same combination, but with Poole instead. But Poole getting a negative score on the day gives him the chance to benefit from the gains of Dundar, Roglic and Mas.

Roglic aside, Time trial specialists were not chosen much, and after three weeks, its hard to know who might score tomorrow, but unless the day is catasrophic for somebody, I'm not seeing where much more change might come from. But time will tell.

Final standings
Between Roglic, Groves and Poole, DJW had the first selected finisher in 13 stages, I believe. Mas and Dunbar (more of him later) did decently for TRiley, but not the sort of placings that lifted him above second, and Ion Izagirre obviously didn't get the memo that a big performance was needed out of him, so Rufs remains third.

Final standings
One of those teams that would have been better off if they only had Roglic was erstwhile leader Madrazo. When Skjelmose took back enough time on Gaudu to pass him for 5th, he dropped below TRiley, for whom Dunbar crucially defended 11th place from Yates. So in the last few minutes, it all changed.
Very little else by way of last day swaps

Congratulations to TRiley, commisserations to Madrazo, recognition to Vladimir for filling out the podium.

Damn, I knew Roglic was too cheap to not include him but I had a choice: either have him or all the riders from 200-400 range that I wanted. Went for the latter and it was probably a bad decision.

Congrats to the winner and thanks to Armchair Cyclist for running the game!

Thanks as always for running the game AC! I guess not even Van Aert's demise was going to counteract having only one genuine GC guy in the team but pretty happy with points from the break and to top the green standings

Impeccable picks:
Roglic
O'Connor
Mas
Groves
Dunbar
Berrade
Vine
Parra
Kruijswijk
Sotto
Bouchard

You would have been better off sending in a team that included Dunbar and only cost 2925 points than leaving him out and buying a more "prestigious" pick instead.

Damn, I knew Roglic was too cheap to not include him but I had a choice: either have him or all the riders from 200-400 range that I wanted. Went for the latter and it was probably a bad decision.

Congrats to the winner and thanks to Armchair Cyclist for running the game!
Not necessarily: the mistake was selecting Carlos Rodriguez as the biggest name you could afford after going for them (and 3 of your four in that price range were pretty successful). Had you had the foresight to take O'Connor instead, you would have been only a few points off the podium. Dunbar instead of Haig as well, and you would have won.

Even so, congratulations on being the top non-Roglic team.

Here is the spreadsheet Let us know if there are any other fascinating stats lurking in there.

Still some Women's CQ and Emerging Riders' games updates to go before the end of the year, and keep an eye out for the (non-CQ) Cyclocross game (probably to start with the first of the main series events, which I think is an Exact Cross in mid-October), and before you know it, we'll be making lists for the 33 man Main Game all over again (as if you haven't been doing so since February)

Congrats to the triley36 and Madrazo on an exciting finish and to Salvarani on topping the 4 season challenge. Thank you to armchair for hosting again.

For some reason having my team suck is a lot easier to stomach than being derailed by injury/bad luck. I'm a bit annoyed that Tiberi having to retire midway through probably ended up costing me both the Vuelta and the 4 seasons challenge. To be fair, I guess I'm not alone in having some bad luck and a number of other people could make a similar argument. Either way, I can't wait for next year.
