Stage 2
Bulgarian hills, a huge crash, and a late catch of the favourites' late break.
Purple points
That would have been a brave prediction with a km to go, yet alone before the race started.
First and third on the stage have names beginning with G, and so made Redhead Dane's selection.
Standings
As this is the minor classification, I'll just show the top ten most days
but sometimes there might be 15 in the top ten.
Pink points
I'll post the most significant changes in points for riders that are part of the game each day (some days very small changes will be considered significant). Because these are projections, changes can be negative: sometimes a rider might have a considerable drop but still be scoring well.
And negative changes for riders mean that negative changes for teams happen too. But mainly positive today.
Standings
11 teams have already suffered the loss of a rider, due to Soler, Vlasov and Buitrago getting caught up in that crash and not finishing.
Large changes of position are pretty much to be expected until the GC in the race takes some meaningful form. So possibly not until stage 7
Tomorrow might give us a better idea than stage 1 did of which sprinters are going to be relevant, assuming more than 11 make it to the line as a lead group.
