It's a bit strange that Saxobank decided to put Contador on the list for Murcia which ends on the same day as Paris-Nice starts.

He planned to race less in the early season in order to be able to race after the Tour and try the Vuelta. But that was before his season was in someone else's hands.

Are these two different teams, DAOTEC ?

Surely it's a big if wrt to Contador racing in Murcia. I mean either way an appeal will be made to CAS by Contador's legal team if he's suspended, and vice-versa by the UCI if Contador gets off.

I'd be highly surprised if he is racing there.

Ugh, I was going to make a thread in DAOTEC's honour, but it seems he got it up in the speculative phase (at least he didn't get the stage details 100%).

Stages

stage 1 | Friday, March 4, San Pedro del Pinatar → Alhama de Murcia 178.7k [MAP]
stage 2 | Saturday, March 5, Estrella de Levante (Murcia) → Centro de Interpretación de Sierra Espuña 183.2k [MAP]
stage 3 | Sunday, March 6, Murcia → Murcia 12.4k [MAP]

Duarte is the man I'm interested in for this race. He is a former u23 World RR Champ, and now he is with Geox-TMC, I would like to see more of what he can do.

the appeal doesn't matter he will be entitled to race anyway. like with valverde

besides I doubt they will appeal it.

this parcours is perfect for duarte, 2 increidble mountainstages

TBF I made that post before anything had happened to Contador, before it was recommended that he get a one year ban, and then his ban was over turned. Obviously Contador won't appeal, but I would imagine the UCI or WADA will, but that is for the Clinic though :)

I'd be interested to see how Possoni gets on. He really kicked on during the latter part of last season and has started well this year with 5th on Mont Faron.

I'm sorry, I was playing DAOTEC, you have to assume inside knowledge of an impending acquittal for any rider under investigation rider. In this world, Mosquera is racing. In the real world though the chances are very slim.

Does anyone have a proper profile for the climb on stage 2? I couldn't find an exact match, but it seems it's 6-7%.

I'm starting to suspect that Menchov won't be riding until the Giro invites are confirmed and he knows whether he's staying with the team.
