Startlist looks a bit thin on realistic challengers. Sagan, GVA and er.... ?

Quickstep guys don't seem to have the form at the moment, neither does Kristoff. Thomas and Kwiatkowski (two recent winners) aren't entering, Cancellara is retired. Trek nowdays have a strong team but no obvious winners. Biggest challengers to the big two are probably Vanmarcke Benoot and Rowe, who always place well, but never win.

I think Stuyven will challenge for the win.
I'm expecting good performances from Moscon and Boom as well.

One of the best races on the calendar and one of my favourites among the cobbled races. Best of the rest (Flanders and Roubaix).

Quick Step with 5 or 6 rider who potentially can top-5, but without the obvious winner as always.. I guess that could make for a very interesting races unless Sagan just demolishes them Cancellara-style.

Rooting for Stuyven. I have a feeling he will be better than Degenkolb.

Edit: Netserk, please post the profile like you did in the other threads. :p

It's about time that GVA stepped up in this race as his record isn't great at E3.
Quickstep to me look like they are coming into form at the right time, Gilbert looks good and Stybar seemed to have a good hit out at DVV and when he took off on one of the climbs he looked quiet good so it wouldn't shock if he comes close but it will be hard to beat Sagan.

Re: 60th Record Bank E3 Harelbe, 24th March 2017, 206 km, 1.

The only way I can see anyone other than Sagan or GVA winning is when Sagan, GVA and a 3rd rider are racing to the finish in a 3 man group and the 3rd guy attacks and both Sagan and GVA are looking at each other to chase. The only ones strong enough to potentially do that are Stybar, Terpstra, Stuyven and Rowe imo

We will see solo Sagan win or a all lot of smart, tactical, energy saving riding that some cycling fans (very incorrectly) call wheel s..... :D
:p :p :p You are biased, general public simply loves smart riders, thats why cycling is so popular.

Sagan should drop everybody on Paterberg, Kwaremont and that third berg which I can not properly spell and try it solo to find out if he is capable such effort. I would love to see such attemp and Harelbeke is better choice than Gent. He could be capable drop everybody in this form even GVA.

Well, gva hanged for dear life on sagans wheel in het niewsblad, has been dropped in fermo stage sooner than I thought he would, couldn´t follow in msr. If he hasn´t got better this week, I guess he won´t be the last man standing when sagan drops the hammer.

Re: 60th Record Bank E3 Harelbe, 24th March 2017, 206 km, 1.

I am getting a bit tired of Sagan's antics he is too happy to do 90% of the work and settle for second place in... any race, really. He should quit the classics and focus on making spectacular downhill attacks in stage races and become the Vino we deserve.

Also who will be the best of the Belgians this year and why is his name GVA?

Don't think GVA is up for it. Wasn't that good in T-A and wasn't able to at try to follow Sagan on Poggio, but he may be deceiving me. If he isn't, and if Etixx don't manage to open the race with all their talent early on, I can't see anyone able to follow Sagan on Kapelberg,Paterberg, Kwaremont and Karnemelk in the absolute final. Well, Kwito would be, but he would rather race Tour of the Basque Country.
