Thanks so much for sharing that. That's what I was involved in in Holland in the early 60s. First on an old Raleigh, then I thought I died and went to heaven when I got a French Al touring bike (I think it was a LeJeune, or a Mercier) from my Grandpa. Usually you rode what you brung and then rode it back home again too. And Paris- Roubaix looks tough?
Brought back some great memories.

Awesome! Another technique to add to mounting, dismounting, shouldering etc. : throwing the bike accross a river!

Thanks for that. Imagine taking your carbon fiber bike and tossing it in the river.

Once I translated to English this race was in 1994. go to and listen between 3:40 and 4 min. It's still outstanding.
