Aching legs from not riding

Seems to be getting worse each year.. I'm a 45 year old master.. I ride/train a lot and have for a lot of years...I'm wondering if anyone has an explanation for something that happens to me each 'off season' After 6 days completely off the bike my legs begin to ache.. after a couple more days it get so bad I'm taking ibuprofen. Then I start riding again, and after a couple days... no more pain...and I'm good until I stop again... And thoughts??
