Since the great Joaquin agosritnho and the equally great rui costa, Portugal has been waiting for another top rider. It seems like they might finally have one.

Alfonso eulailo had some amazing performances s as a 21-22 year old on the portuguese Conti scene. After his big climbing in the 2024 volta, he continued to develop in the WT with bahrain, getting a top 10 at the world's championship.

This is a testament to his ability as not many make it out of the infamous Portuguese Conti scene.

Today he dropped the likes of Landa, ujtedbrockes, hindley, buitrago, onley, fortunato and kuss and I believe it is time to make a thread.

This will be a thread to discuss Alfonso eulalio and his results and performances.

Amazed for Eulálio! The guy came from Continental to the WT last year, and he has improved significantly since then. Not sure if he has what it takes to fight for a top 10 in the GC, but he’ll definitely be exciting to follow.

After Almeida’s DNS, it was quite a nice day for us Portuguese people.

The crash was very unfortunate. I just hope he didn't get hurt in the crash.

Top 5 far from impossible if he measures his efforts correctly.

The TT is huge and I don’t think there are any serious reference points for him riding one of consequence as a professional to judge where he should slot in.

After that only Stage 14,29 and 20 look like big GC shake up stages.
