Out of respect for the man, this belongs in the pro road race forum, not the clinic

Aww, I guess we knew it was coming, but the way he talked suggested he may have had a bit more time.

A sad day, I'm of the opinion that he was one of "the good guys", regardless of whether or not his clients were doping.

Interesting to see what happens with Cuddles and Basso etc, and the Mapei Centre.

So sad, when he told Ricco would be his last apprentice, I thought he has at least one year :( I hate this disease
RIP

In fact those were my exact sentiments. It seemed as if he would have had more time. However, I also recal him emphasizing that he "didn't know how much time" he still had.

RIP

And here was me hoping to see how Ricco would fare under his wings this year.

Horrible disease. 51, far too young. I want Bassso to win that GT in May now, just so he can dedicate it to the man.

RIP to the man. This is probably enough to give Cadel an off year.

Come on. Lets leave that for another thread even though what you are saying is stupid.

RIP Aldo. I guess he lived life being apart of a sport that he dearly loved.

Can a mod tone down the heading? It is tad strong with all the exclamation marks, capital letter and a euphenism would be appropriate for the thread title

Not saying twitter means much, but Sassi is in the top 10 trending topics atm. I guess it shows how many people follow Cadel closely and know of his associations and work with Aldo sassi. He will be sorely missed.

Sometimes these deaths teach you how precious life is.
