Andrea Noè not to ride his 15th giro. Or is he?

Yesterday, the Liquigasteam decided not to select Andrea Noè for the 2009 Giro d'Italia. Noè participated 14 (!) consecutive times since 1995, finishing all of them in the top-45 :eek:
Taking the pink jersey for two days in 2007 at age 38, he became the oldest rider ever to wear the leader's jersey in any of the grand tours.

Appearently, liquigas doesn't want to give this monument the proper goodbye from professional cycling he deserves

Shows to me that liquigas are in it to win this year and are making decisions with their head and not the heart.
It may be harsh but it is a real world.

As if Noe wouldn't be good enough to help basso on (at least) the first mountains of the day. This guy was still 39th last year, and it's a certainty that he'll go till Rome.

Are those really pros or just facebook profiles set up in their name? :p

Mans a legend though, hope he gets a ride. Oldest rider in the protour? It's gotta be him or Cuesta.

I'm rather sure most of them are genuine.
And yes Noè is the oldest rider: Cuesta was born in june, Noè in january 1969
