Any opinions on the Kurt Rock and Roll trainer?

Anyone have one of these? Thoughts?

Didn't you bring this up before that you wanted to replace your CycleOps? I think I even ragged on you for buying a CycleOps instead. Yes, go get one, they are the best trainers made, and in MN. Win, win. I rode one at the last shop I worked at (Gateway in N. St. Paul) 3 times a week during the hard part of the winter. Being able to get out of the saddle and simulate sprinting and climbing is freaking awesome. I don't need trainers anymore living in CO, Winters are mild, but if I needed one it would be a Kurt R&R.

Done.

Setup was super easy and I like the resistance unit far better than my cycleops. Quieter too.

Not sure about the turntable wheel block. Feels better with my old block.

You should get used to the Kurt turntable block because it's meant to simulate the "swimming" of the front when you're giving it the mustard.

+1 on Kinetic R&R. Now if you really want to make it even better get the additional 12 lb fly wheel

That looks sweet.

I like the R&R so far. Some reviewers have said it feels unstable out of the saddle. I haven't felt that at all. Takes a little getting used to but certainly feels better than being locked in.

I also think the resistance unit is superior to the cyclops. Much better feel to it.

Isn't that the whole idea, so that you actually learn how to remain stable?
