Maybe you are just refering to Lance's business side?
It IS professional to treat your employees fairly.

This morning I clicked a link in a pro-Lance Carlton Reid article, and found out I was blocked on twitter again I think it had to do with my screaming about him wearing Mellow Johnny and Livestrong (it's as much advertising for .com as .org) kit while he had signed a contract and had a team pay out money. It may have been minimum salary, but Livestrong was on all of their clothing, the website, his bikes (where were the Kazakh sponsors?), so he received plenty of free marketing for the dot com there too. People are saying how much marketing value he gave to the USPS.

If you read his statements during the Giro when Astana was late on salary, he let slip that Ryszard “Richie” Kielpinski, who had rejoined him at the start of the comeback, and was mentioned and photographed on the training trips to Hawaii and France, was paid by Astana too.

Yeah its a well known fact that how celebrities, politicians etc behave in public, and what they say in twitter and in the media is DEFINITELY what is really going on.

Just like how Silvio Berlusconi has obviously never done anything inappropriate with exotic young ladies, because he says he hasn't... and - because he also says he isn't worried about police investigation - he's clearly telling the truth.

They should just drop the investigation to save time.
