Teams & Riders Arnaud De Lie’s Hips Don’t Lie Discussion Thread

The Arnaud De Lie’s Hips don't lie discussion thread.

A youth signing for Lotto Soudal last year, he has broken onto the scene this year in the early goings with his first two .1 race or above wins coming in the last month and a half. Winning Trofeo de Playa de Palma-Palma over established sprinters like Michael Matthews, Giacomo Nizzolo, Juan Sebastian Molano, Alexander Kristoff and others was a big step to establishing himself on the scene. Today he picked up his second 2022 victory at GP Monsere, beating Hugo Hofstetter, who's a respectable sprinter in his own right. Riding a decent amount of cobbled classics coming up, we hope to see him win some more races while continuing his accelerated development take place.

Recently crossed paths with him during a training ride, in the area of Redu and Rochefort. Very beautiful roads and hills there, and he looked like he had a lot of fun with some of his friends. Curious about his schedule, I guess Lotto will try to line him up in more one day but also some smaller WT stage races, considering their hunt for UCI points.

Frankfurt, Dunkerque, Tro Bro Leon are confirmed.

Ideal for him. They will indeed probably line him up in a lot of Belgian one day races at the end of May and in June also (Circuit de Wallonie, Heistse Pijl, Brussel Cycling Classic, etc.). I don't think he would be riding another schedule in a non-point hunt year btw. He just turned 20, he should be riding these kind of races anyways.

Looks like Morbihan and Rund um Koln got added to LTS schedule so De Lie will also ride those. Circuit de Wallonie and GP Marcel Kint are his 2 other one day races in May. Lots of chances for another win.

Awesome to read that he's already a better leader for the team than Gilbert has ever been. Already protecting the team, trying to keep the vibes up.
