Assos Fugujack worth it ?

I wanted to know if the Assos Fugujack is worth the high end price ?

I have a chance to pick one up used for significantly less, but still pricey.

Is it worth all the accolades and hype ?

Thanks for any input and suggestions.

'Worth' is a big word..hard to figure out what is 'worth it' to another BUT Assos is very fine, long lasting, very well made clothing.

Look at this. Altho they are trying to sell these and sometimes sound like a J Peterman catalog..this is pretty accurate.

the stuff responds well to hand washing and infrequent wear after it is completely dry. I own all major brands and don't think the finish work on Assos is worth 2x sometimes even more than other brands. I buy it because it works good and I like the way it looks.

*I used two brands of sunblock last season and Assos fibered fabric was the only one that it didn't wash out of w warm water.

I have a FuguJack and it is definitely a very nice design and it works well. The only things are that it makes a bit of a rustling noise when riding and the two side zips have Assos logo bits dangling which I don't like. Is it worth it? My answer is No. I much prefer the AirJack 851 which is just as nice and more practical in my opinion and it is at almost half the price of the FuguJack.

Here's a picture of a AirJack 851 :

You are right. The FuguJack is a warmer jacket and is better suited for rides near zero C temperatures. I don't race anymore, so I don't need to do those very cold rides now and, for me, the AirJack id better suited for the rides above 5C.
