Availability and reliability of coverage

MOD note: not an intentional OP of a thread, this and the first 20 or so posts forked off from the TDU 2025 thread

Just started watching.

How? Aren't you in Denmark, where - rather annoyingly - it's been decided that nobody should be able to watch it?

Though, I suppose it's a bit late for me anyway to log in wherever it is....

If you're considering choppy streams you get thrown off all the time "fine", that's, well... fine.
I just don't.

Look, this hasn't happened once these past three days. It's exceedingly annoying that you just take it for granted that it always happens and are making us seem stupid for using it. Maybe stop with that?

On the first stage, it was a bit choppy, but the last two have been without a single issue throughout the 50 kms I've watched.

Really? It was actually easy to find the correct stream on the hellscape that's the webpage?
And not a single add?

I suspect tobydawg uses an adblocker as I do, so no adds, no. All we/I had to do was click on live streams and then the first stream had been taken down, so I had to click on another. That was it.

I've had horrible visits on that page as well, but it isn't always unusable - especially if you deliberately choose a lower resolution stream, which is more likely to run smoothly and not be taken down.

I think you may be over reacting to our friend's cartoonish hatred of the glorious pirate cycling site..!!

It's just exasperating. And the same point being repeated over and over and over and over again (when it comes from a few bad experiences that don't represent reality) without the tiniest acknowledgment that it might be a little over the top and that perhaps it's not the same for everybody really does not make it more charming.

So, you're telling me that the fact that whenever I've tried to give *** yet another chance, it has turned out that... lo and behold, it's still crap is just pure bad luck?

If I were to give it my quasi-annual attempt Saturday morning, when would you suggest I get up? And if it is indeed still terrible, I expect cake! Or maybe I'll just take your citizenship, for not doing more to demand proper coverage.
(Of course, if some people would prefer I doesn't - since apparently I'm cursed and whenever I try watch this supposedly "just fine" way of watching, it'll stop working - that's okay.)

I actually wrote a message to TV2 Cykling's Facebook-page on Sunday to hear about the discrepancy of their logo being featured on the TDU website and their not showing the rest, so I would make a case that I have been doing my fair share of work there (I didn't get a response, by the way).

I think half past four would be a good time.

TL;DR

The site that shall not be named gets a level of credit on this forum that it frankly doesn't deserve.
A fitting punishment - apart from being subjected to my puns - to anyone caught trying to promote it should be that they should be forced to only watch cycling there!
