Well he appeared in 52 games. He is a relief pitcher, may only pitch one inning or to even one batter sometimes in a game, and may not pitch for a few days depending on the situation of each game. His base salary is 1 mil, so @$6,100 per game of a 162 game season, so he was fined 60 grand basically, in money terms.

100 games for clenbuterol, being his 2nd postive? That is basically just a 2/3 of a year penalty. A BIG joke.

In cycling (or track) isn´t that 4 yrs if you get caught twice?

Anyway, that happens when player associations rule the drug tests. That BS will happen to cycling too if JV´s "franchise-like-NFL-cyling" dream comes true. All business, all player association, all comercial, all fake, corrupted "journalists", milking the fans-pay for all, .... but sure no sports.

Guys, you don´t know that the corrupt UCI ruling cycling is wayyyy better than JV´s dream. Just have a look at US-Sports. A big sad, sad joke. If i wouldn´t really love football i´d have given it up already (like i did with MLB).

100 game ban sounds like a lot - until you read that he played 52 games last season. So, for a first offence, you get a 1-year ban, and for the second, a 2-year ban? Seems a little light.

It's a huge suspension...but not that bad. Each game the team plays counts for a suspended game for Mota. So, his suspension will end somewhere in September. As a Giants fan, this sucks...but not as bad as the loss of three players due to injury.
Anyway, Mota and Alberto in the same sentence odd.

This math is wrong by a zero.

$610,000 not 61,000
