Also, only one to ride in the yellow jerseyClearly A.yates because he rode as a domestic, while the others were team leaders.

I mean this exclusively refer to the tour they competed against TP and JV. So applies to everyone. But never won the Tour

The vino option is only included to serve long standing forum purists. I'd prefer not to include it but I don't want to get shunned.Except vino 03
Got 3'43" just because Landa and Almeida weren't leaders. Stages 11 and 17, both lost so much time because their leaders were in front and their group wasn't pulling at all. Context is always important.definitely Remco '24 - 10 minutes to 4th place - an alien performance in it's own right
Yates took yellow, won a stage and was a good support leader for Pog in the most memorable Tour since 19'. But even still fair enough. If anyone asked me who was 3rd in 2023, I probably wouldn't remember it was A Yates. That's how little impact his 3rd place registers with me.
Vino's 3rd place was obviously the most spectacular, seeing how much he animated the race and actually had Armstrong/USPS on the ropes a couple of times with long range attacks (the Beloki crash stage for instance).
But I voted for Geraint Thomas solely because of how old he was at the time, and because I prefer the more old-school generation that he represents.

Really anonymous 3rd place, having an identical twin on a similar level makes even worseIf anyone asked me who was 3rd in 2023, I probably wouldn't remember it was A Yates. That's how little impact his 3rd place registers with me.

I think there was one mtf where Yates appeared to be equally strong to both of them and I can’t remember this from any of the other optionsYates took yellow, won a stage and was a good support leader for Pog in the most memorable Tour since 19'. But even still fair enough.
But then - you pick Thomas?? The only answer that is outright wrong. Wicked!
