Doubt it. Gatlin didnt lose his Athens Gold. Just became "disgraced"

But 21 months i make as just enough time for him to miss London 2012, giving Warriner a good chance there.
he would miss london even if he got 1 week ban - ioc ruled life-time exclusion from any olympics if you were officially sanctioned for doping anytime for however long.

Is this going to be the new standard of defense? Pick an excuse humiliating enough that no one would think to suspect you of lying in admittance...

If I'd have tested positive for Clen, I think maybe I'd go with a beastiality defense!

Im not saying your wrong. You are right. But in her case they made an exception (though she didnt fail a test, just missed a lot of them) so im suggesting there is room for exceptions.

sounds like room for corruption. either way, the american runner is sanctioned for actual doping, not missed tests (that are always somewhat less damming). thus he's likely to rest during the olympics unless more ioc corruption lets him in.

He's amazing, no matter how big this story gets , I'll always remember falling around the room laughing at the radio, its gonna be hard on him in the locker room stand up comedy routines, as to whether it is still as a result of cheating, or cross membership of the available facilitatory groups.

Incorrect. The IOC rule states that anybody who serves a doping suspension is banned from only the next Olympics. It is not a lifetime ban.

And even in the case of being banned from the next Olympics, one can apply for a waiver by the IOC.

Absolutely! I've heard that you can get clen poisoning from porking... uh, pork. That doesn't sound quite right. I betcha the UCI will buy it, though...

i looked deeper, we both are right though my previous post was an overstatement. a waiver is a nightmare too requiring the full support of a national fed - not easy and may end up in cas.

an amendment to ioc rule 45 bans anyone with more than 6 months suspension from the next games. but there are further complication imposed by the rule 23.1.2 and stricter regulations from some national olympic bodies (like british) and international federations (like skiing) that produce defacto life-time bans for 1st time offenders.

a further complication is the date and wording of the pre-olympic oath that athletes are required to sign. it can effectively ban them for life from the olympics.

now i understand even better why i've always been skeptical of life-time bans.

Millar doesn't go because of the British OC having lifetime exclusions for banned athletes.

But not Christine Ohurogu. Oh no. Because she was going to win.
