Copenhagen sucked (intro of sky train)

Melbourne was good, dumb gilbert though, wasted his energy at the wrong time.

Mendrisio was the best, although I didn't like evans that much, the way he won it was just purely amazing. Who whould have thought that he would win a WC? The best.

Varese was disappointing.

The ones therefore were ok, don't know it exactly though since i didn't pay that much anything to cycling at that point. I've watched them though but can't remember enough to form an opinion.

Them years where we watched il grillo win...those were the days. :(

2007 was the best. Beats 2009.

2005 was boring for most of the time, but the most exciting final I've ever seen in a WC.

You're from Belgium right? Should explain something lol although you're right, the final was very exciting and I didn't think anyone thought the peloton was gonna come back

Mendrisio for me, at that time who would have expected a guy like Evans to attack. And not only attack but manage to stay away and win it.

Copenhagen is the third most popular

Was it the first time people ever saw the worlds? Copenhagen was SH!T

i think people are just voting for their favorite winner and not for their favorite race. i saw the last 2k of copenhagen and didn't miss a single thing

worst championships of the last 10 years tied with zolda no doubt.

Melbourne was terrific. The breakaway entering the laps with a 20 minute advantage, almost gapping the peloton and forcing it to ride fast from the get-go. The action never really let up - totally worth it staying up all night to watch it.

Salzburg probably had the coolest finish though, looking like a bunch sprint until 1 k to go, when Samuel Sanchez exploded out of a corner dragging Valverde, Zabel and Bettini with him, before 'Il Grillo' finished it off. Classy!

6 votes for Copenhagen, and 0 for Zolder, yet they were almost identical races.

Cav fans on the case.

Salzburg was quite a disappointing race up until Samu's attack in the final, not even hard enough to get rid of guys like McEwen and Haselbacher. But the last km at Salzburg is right up there with the final of Madrid for excitement, no question.

Zolder had a pretty major cast of sprinters. Cipo, McEwen, Zabel v. Greipel, Goss and Cav (not knocking them but still).

What is really the point of having a completely flat sprinter-route for the WC? You might just aswell change the WC ITT into a flat proloque.
