Boonen riding Paris-Roubaix?

One of the team sponsors stated that Boonen told him he's riding hard to get to PR.

He'll ride next week with his teammates to check out the parcours of PR and then he'll decide.

He gives himself 1% chance but he definitely believes in it. And if he's gonna ride it, it's not to only make top 10.

What a beast.

If he's got a broken elbow and the shoulder was dislocated, then he has no chance. The arms are basically shock absobers for the body. There's no way in just under six weeks from his crash to Roubaix that he would have recovered enough. Especially ti ride on cobbles.

What did they say about Contador's broken leg? No one gave him one cent to win the vuelta.

We don't know how serious it is, maybe not as bad as it was

Why did you delete your post Lil' Mac? :( I found it interesting, although I disagree ;)

Lol do you refresh the forum every 0.5 seconds? :p

Nah, thought it didn't make much sence, because even if he did participate, he would be nowhere near competitive.

I can see why he would be tempted. Cancellara out, Vanmarcke and Sagan not on top form, Degenkolb and Kristoff struggling so far on the cobbles - he would have a great chance fully fit.

Not sure it would help Etixx though having a half fit Boonen there, would he be the main leader? It's about time they properly backed Stybar, rather than leaving him high and dry while other much slower finishers go up the road.

If he pulls it off and is able to ride Roubaix for his fans I'll drink 2 bottles of Chimay Grande Réserve to celebrate his ride.

When was the last time he won a monument? That's right. Wouldn't have won anyway. Boonen's days as a top competitor are long gone

"Met drie trainingen en een verkenning starten in Parijs-Roubaix, lijkt me geen goed idee. Daarvoor had hij een voorbereiding in Spanje moeten rijden."

Vanmol says that with a few (3) trainingsrides and a reconnaissance it isn't enough to ride P-R, he should have had a preparation in Spain....
