Caad10 / supersix

I've been looking at Cannondale bikes for a while, as my current bike needs replacing.

I want something aggressive, something that climbs well and descend effectively. I live in a hilly part of the world.

I have looked at alternative, but I have narrowed my choices to either the CAAD10 Ultegra or the SuperSix 105. What are your opinions on the differences between these bikes? Apart from the obvious carbon / ally - I do know that Cannondale make fantastic alumiunium.

Any ideas?

Both great bikes. SuperSix w/ 105 is hard to beat. The CAAD10 is a great ride, but for the price of the Ultegra version I don't think you are getting as good of a value as you would for the SuperSix w/105.

I would consider getting a caad10 105, but gtting a really good set of wheels made up for it and replace a few of the dodgey bits and pieces that you get on standard bike.

This would be a great bike for not a lot of money and I think would be better than a standard supersix 105. I would disclose that I personally prefer ally frames.

If you're like me and hard on bikes, stick with alloy with an alloy steerer fork.

Carbon bikes are disposable fashion items at that weight class.

More importantly is finding a bike shop that can fit you proper so you don't end up another punter on a nice bike that is the wrong fit and everyone can see it.

All the CAAD10s come with full carbon forks FYI.

Getting a good fit shouldn't be a problem, I know people trained to do that.

Any other opinions people?

@ 2 grand there are many much better options imho, agressive riding huh? how about something Tuetonic. Focus izalco pro 3.0 is same money glowing reviews everywhere both in the press and know someone who has one, she loves it to bits.
Or a rose carbon 4400 sl ridiculus value for money, sram force, fsa slk finishing kit, mavic equipe(just aksiums on cannondales i think) conti 4000s tyres good saddle and youd still have over £400 left over !!! (they had a fire though I believe so supply maybe a problem) It does look a little odd to me though, fat headtube with a slim fork.
Cube, Canyon lots of much better options than a dale , yes good frames well designed, but reality is so are most bikes now, so why pay for "handmade in america" cachet when they arent anymore.Bang for your buck or in your case quid.

Neither of the op's options are handmade in America! Canyon are a pita if you want to deviate from their standard options ie stem length. I really wanted one about 18 months ago but the wait for non standard options was a joke.
If it were me, I would go CAAD10 ultegra. Beautiful.
