Canyon and DT SWISS XM180 Shock Movement

Hello!

I have a Canyon LUX MR, its only a few days old, I have noticed that the rear shock mentioned above can twist in the frame by about 5-7mm either way.

Is this normal?

Do you think this could be linked to a slight "knocking" feeling when the shock is locked off when I hit a small bump?

Cheers folks

You're quite the unlucky one with FS bikes eh!? Sounds like a visit to the shop is in order, I wouldn't expect to see movement like that.

Maybe what you need is a hardtail?;)

Ha ha! Don't even get me started! :)

Up until my previous unsuccessful full sus purchase about 6 months ago I only ever bought frames and custom built my own hardatil race bikes, which makes this even more frustrating as they ran like total clockwork!

On the subject of the rear shock however, this has now "exploded" internally, is leaking oil, won't lock off and bobs up and down like the bike belongs to Mr Soft off the old Mint adverts!!

2 other issues on top of this and the bike hasn't been with me a week yet!!

Viva Le Full Sus..............
