Casar FDJ® doesn't believe Asterloza cheated

Sandy Casar questions Mikel Astarloza positive

With the positive EPO test for Mikel Astarloza, Sandy Casar FDJ® could one day be declared the winner of the 16th stage of Tour de France 2009, fought between Martigny and Bourg St. Maurice.

"I expect noting more. On the call to call, it could be a long one. Asterloza's lawyers are not bad, and when we see how long it took for Valverde" comments the French cyclist.

But Sandy Casar is not certain that the former Euskaltel rider has cheated. I always have had my doubt sabout the guilt of the Basque. "I'm surprised he found himself caught in a regular out of competition. And what was found in his urine, EPO in the first generation. The most easy to detect!
So why he has taken that ? It's so silly,"

Casar could finally get his second stage success after his victory in 2007 at Angouleme. At least if not in a few weeks his second victory will come in the upcoming Tour.
