So again some setbacks for Chris in 2023. Fortunately there's still a lot of time to prepare for the TdF in 2024...or better in 2025. Remco won't have it easy even when the July mutants decline.

Yes, I made a similar point in another thread regarding the world snooker final. Snooker logic dictates a Remco-Froome showdown in 2024I also consider 2023 rather as a „gap“ year. It‘ll be about getting the miles, also the hard miles, in. Then 2024 might finally be the year for TdF #5… It‘ll be about Remco vs Froome, then…![]()
I appreciate Froome has fans. But can we stop talking about his capacity in GTs will, at some future point, become relevant again? It won't
Andorra had the privilege of giving the hard miles to froome.Froom will be tomorrow in Mercan Tour classic. Last year 11th, this year again with Fuglsang as his leader. Let's see how are the legs after training at Andorra
Geraint Thomas‘ super performances at current Giro will give Froomey a huge morale boost. After all, the two always have been like brothers.
I think this could now be the deciding factor, to again believe in project #5, to happen coming July. „G“ wins the Giro, and Froome the Tour, afterwards - very much possible, now…
maybe i'm dense, but are all skijumper's posts sarcasm? You need to appreciate the not-so-subtle dose of sarcasm & humor in those posts. Froome has earned those sorts of comments insofar as he placed $$$ over his racing reputation.
Tbh there wouldn't be 98% of these joke if he didn't constantly feed the trolling himself with "nose to the grindstone" posts & other comments about a 5th TdF.
I mean it's absurd & he invites mockery himself.
It's one of the forum's mysteries.maybe i'm dense, but are all skijumper's posts sarcasm?
Please stop it.Held on longer than last year. If he can do Suisse/Dauphine without illness which occurred last year before the mountain stages began then he should be able to reach a higher level than last year pre TDF.
Is this not logical? He managed third in a TDF stage despite having to abandon the Dauphine before the mountains and recover from illness. He looks even stronger now than at the same point last year. Please stop it.
I'd say he looks about the same. Losing 3:36 to the winner instead of 3:58 is not much of an improvement. Is this not logical? Maybe, but he has also had less proper racing than last year due to injuries in April which meant the only other race he has done in the last 3 months is Romandie where he limped around.I'd say he looks about the same. Losing 3:36 to the winner instead of 3:58 is not much of an improvement.
Sure it isn't necessarily a bad sign at all, if the next month goes according to plan.Maybe, but he has also had less proper racing than last year due to injuries in April which meant the only other race he has done in the last 3 months is Romandie where he limped around.
