Clean riders did exist-Read the Willett file

Kirk Willett's account of the clean peloton during his career validated the existence of truly clean and dedicated athletes in the face of the Euro pros. That few of them made it to Europe was not an indication of their level of talent as much as their refusal to give in to the obvious pressure of that venue. There were many such riders that, clean; were equal or better than doped contemporaries.
Anyone have some examples of serious talent that went unappreciated? Those names should be part of a True Legends list for the period.
