Clothing Donation

Every year I watch the Tour of Burkina Faso on Versus and watch a bunch of African teams riding on extremely outdated equipment and wearing very old and beat up clothing. I raced for a few years and have a closet full of old kits, socks, etc. I would love to find a way to donate all my old cycling gear to teams in Africa or in other third world countries who can barely afford spare tires let alone modern equipment. I am hoping someone on this forum or with CyclingNews might know a way to do this. I have searched online and haven't found any options for cycling specific donations. Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

There is a blog on this site about someone from the peace corps, Christoph Herby who currently is involved in the cycling programm in Benin. You can either contact him, I believe it was best to do this through his own site, http://quietgriot.com/ and another possibility is: village bicycle project but the latter is mainly for bikes and parts
