Dear Cyclingnews,

I really feel the need to tell you how muich I hate your search function and I have wasted 15 min of my life registering and writing to you now.

I love coming to the CN website, but when it comes to searching recent/past news, things can be quite a b*tch! I absolutely hate the search function you have in your website because I can never find what I want.

The system that you use does not really work. I have never been to any site with worse search functions!

I hope you can take this as a feedback. Feel free to contact me if you need inputs.

/frustrations

Sincerely,
Annoyed

Hello Annoyed,
As one who frequently needs to search the site, I agree that the search function is not adequate. It is on the list of things to be improved for the future.

For the short term, I suggest you try using Google with site:http://www.cyclingnews.com in your searches. This will restrict the search to our domain and bring up the most pertinent pages. If you're looking for news items only, you can tack on a /news at the end of the URL and it will find only news items. If you want to restrict it to race pages, /races.
For photos, just include "photos" with the search terms.

Hope this helps,
Laura

I must agree, I was searching for Devolder one day, don't really remember what it was exactly anymore, but couldn't really find it... you really get a lot off topic results
