Kittel delivered where it matters most for bunch sprinters, but Cav was really impressive on some of the more difficult routes.

Going with Kittel, but I think its close.

I still see Kittel as a 1D rider, probably the fastest one right now though. I know it "just" sprinting and he has been beaten a few times but Cav's big mouth is just something else :D

Kittel beat the other big boys when it mattered the most. And when it maybe didn't mean as much too, like at Scheldeprijs. He isn't very versatile, but he can sprint.

Kittel, for winning big at the Tour (the most important sprinters race). Cav 2nd, Sagan 3rd for quantity.

What has Goss done to deserve a place in the poll?

I still think Cav is the one.
A more complete sprinter, not the kind of Der Panzer "Gimme a long straight finish and I'll trash everyone putting down 1800 watts, but if there's a bend I'm doomed"

I suppose Matt Goss is the Vino option.

Can we add guys like

Nacer Bouhanni (11 wins, including one Paris-Nice stage, two in Tour of Beijing, GP de Fourmies and Tour de Vendée)
Arnaud Démare (nine wins, including one in Tour de Suisse, three stages in 4 jours de Dunkerque)
Alexander Kristoff (seven wins, including stages in Tour de Suisse and Driedaagse de Panne)
Elia Viviani (six wins, including one stage in Critérium du Dauphiné)

Not that it really matters with Kittel and Cav in the poll. But still better options than Goss.

If Kittel would have ridden the Giro like Cav did, Kittel would have never won 4 stages in the tour. So Cav it is for me

+1, Goss wasn't even the best sprinter on his own team this year.

Cav was impressive at the Giro and did ok at the Tour, but overall I would say Kittel just pipped him.

What Cav did at this year's Giro was utterly remarkable. Yes, Kittel won based on Le Tour but on the whole year, Cav.
