Ned and Charlotte stayed with me overnight on their journey. They just posted these pics from Columbia. Looks to be a challenging climb. Anybody know if this climb is used in any Colombian road races?

The road from Giron towards Zapatoca.

They mentioned the climbs used in races like the Vuelta a Colombia during Colorado, how some are 20km in lenght and I think more, and how they're just as challenging as the ones in Europe.

I climbed it, nice area with lots of different landscapes and some good gradients. They have used it in Vuelta a Colombia, but I do not know when. People we met in the route told me.

I wrote some stuff about the climb (not much) http://going-south.tv/san-gil-and-the-chicamocha-canyon/

We filmed the climb here http://www.avro.nl/Pages/player.aspx?maid=tcm:8-230948 (minute 15:40)

It appears also in other video of us:http://vimeo.com/23402440

Wow thanks. most of my visitors are headed to Tierra del Fuego. Most are starting in Alaska.
