is it true that finally someone had the balls to do it?
looks like contador is asking for the difference to be adjusted to 34s.

if the danish newspaper is right(it's basing it in a spanish one, i don't have the link), do you agree with it?

i do.

If they adjusted it for Hesjedal, VDV and Casar there's no reason why they can't do it for Contador, Sammy and others.

If it had been Andy Schleck that lost time, the appeal would succeed.

Well anyone else bar Contador, ASO don't want him at the Tour and least of all for him to win it, so any chance to take time from him they'll do so.

it's better for them to have a fair and close fight with contador losing or even wining than this.

more money instead of a circus.

It is a reasonable request and I think it should be granted. I assume the 34" were the time splits between Contador and the peloton when the second crash happened?

Was contador slowed down by the 2nd crash then?

34" wasn't the time split at the end of the stage. So, yes, he was slowed down by it. It looked like riders were blocking the entire street.

If you don't make adjustments, I assume you'll encourage riders to plow at maximum speed through subsequent crashes. This is counterproductive. Think, why the 3 km rule was put into effect in the first place.

In that case he just has his time loss reduced. Tbh I was surprised how much time he last in the last 3Kms. I doubt that his appeal will be successful though, as they really dont want him to win.

Luckily ASO has no say in it then. UCI decides this. The race is run under UCI rules with judges appointed by the UCI. The jury is lead by a Belgium guy I believe.

Putting it on the time they reached the crash seems like a logical solution to me. Although I kinda like Contador being behind. If Andy had been behind too it would have been even better, just because that would force them to attack. Kinda like last year´s Giro.

They should not create a situation where riders who do not have to chase because they will get the same time anyway can impede riders from the previous crash and cause them to lose more time.

it will be wrong to make such a request.alberto can take that time on a single hc climb.and he will.

As Riis said to Danish TV today: "with the time loss from yesterdays the overall victory will be that much sweeter".

was that an attempt to make a joke? it just showed stupidity and hypocrisy. so...

Of course that was a joke, and it was hilarious! Stop being such a fanboy for once. AC could have minimized his loses but choosed to soft-pedal to the finish so requesting a time cut now is pretty lame and just total bull****.

This is what I hope for. Then, there can be no doubt on who is the best. No amount of steak could account for such a feat.

For me this sounds like a logical solutions, but on the other hand I never belive it will happen. If it was Andy then of course, but not when we are talking about Contador.

Yes, of course, but that would have looked stupid. I mean Contador loosing by about 30 sec and Andy by 81 sec but still in the overall standing Andy would only be 6 sec behind when soft-pedal to the finish and Contador would be 30 sec down even if he had beaten Andy by almost a min. And I think it is silly to name someone a fanboy because he doesnt like the rule who gave Andy this massive advantage. There were a lot other riders who suffered too and also those who finished in front of Contador/Andy who really tried to fight for every second on a quite tough finish.

don't bother with those kind of guys... you cant have a proper discussion with them. they only see black or white. unfortunately i can't call him stupid piece of sh+t, otherwise i would do it. but since this is a public forum and i can't text without getting a notification after doing the right thing that bothered "the family", i won't say it, even if he is. ups.
