Indeed roundabout. Im tired hearing its such a easy course. I know its the most easy one since Zolder, but still, with that finish, its not sure its going to be a large sprint in the end in the road races. Lets se how hard it really is.

Anyways really looking forward to the U23 RR. Imo its normally the coolest race at the World Champs :p

EDIT: Not to forget, that Denmark have a very strong team for the U23 RR. After a restday im also looking very much forward to see some live cycling tomorrow!

So many interesting and promising names in there that I don't even know where to start!

Really looking forward to this - it's always a great race and then we'll have an idea of how hard the route is.

I'm also kinda glad that I'm gonna watch this on television, as I'll be on the route sunday!

Lot of teams with more than one candidate...

Denmark: Andersen, Lander, Juul Jensen
Gr. Brittain: Fenn, Rowe, Yates
Italy: Boem, Fortin, Colbrelli or even Delle Stelle
Netherlands: Bol, Kreder
Australia: Dennis, Hepburn
France: Demaré, maybe Petit
Belgium: Wallays, Vandesande, De Bie

Anyone any idea who will be the card to play, or is it impossible to say?

1. Hepburn
2. Wippert
3. Guldhammer

I got the top 3 right last year and also on the tempo this year so let's see if I can make it 3/3! (highly doubt it) :p
Really? You predicted Boivin would get a bronze medal? :p

I have absolutely no idea who will win this. Demare is probably the fastest U23 sprinter right now, so I'll pick him.

1. Demare
2. Van der Sande
3. Rowe

Well i dont know a lot about the junior women (not many does i guess), but the "captain" for Denmark will be Christina Siggard. Doesnt say much though, as they are only 3 riders. :p

A little bit more interesting is the danish tactic for the U23 race. It seems like Denmark will ride offensive, maybe not from the start, but at least in the finale. Rasmus Guldhammer and Sebastian Lander will try to get in a breakaway in the finale, as they think they need to be in a smaller group to win.

If its going to be a bunchsprint Asbjørn Kragh will be the sprinter for Denmark. Though, Sebastian Lander doesnt think they have that big of a chance in a bunchsprint, so hopefully Denmark will be one of the teams that will try to make the hard race tomorrow and attack.

EDIT: The other 3 riders, Juul Jensen, Jesper Hansen and Valgren have to cover all the attacks with more than 3 riders in the first part of the race. After that, if they are not in breakaway obv, they will probably help the teammates and also work in the peloton, try to split it. But they say its going to be difficult as most of the big nations are happy if it ends in a sprint.

Yes, I obviously predicted that the bronze medal would be shared for the first time in the history (?) between Boivin and Phinney, quite predictable really!

Nah I missed that, but really I think it was a lot easier to guess last year since those 3 (Degenkolb, Matthews and Phinney) were so outstanding in the u23 racing, no one has quite been at that level this year.

No idea who will win, but there's a good Cardiff contingent for me to support - Luke Rowe, Elinor Barker and Lucy Garner.

Good to see:) and Elinor got the Cardiff contingent off to a very good start. GB seem to have some good riders in the U23. Fenn did very well in the Tours of Britain and Brittany, so rolling terrain should suit him. Yates won a stage in the Tour de l'Avenir.

I'm not convinced it will be a bunch sprint. Then again last year was harder and the u23 came I'n a big group.

Jetse Bol isn't really a sprinter, but has a fast finish.
I can see him getting a medal. Really hard race to predict tho. Not sure i agree with Dennis for Australia, been average this season I'n regards to results.

As for the girls, i have no idea to be perfectly honest. Can't say i track the junior women at all.

If it won't be a bunch sprint it won't be because the profile of the race was hard enough, but because the riders made it a very hard race.

That said, 80% chance that it will be a bunch sprint.

Congrats on stating the obvious.
Generally riders will attack on such a course tho. There's potential for a good race IMO.

Also i assume great analysis is behind that 80% figure :p

A bit weird seeing Guldhammer here, given he was at High Road last year.

Brandle has more experience having completed 2 GTs and was on a PT team last year as well.

They will use their experience in riding with the pros but it is strange they are here. But I suppose they aren't considered pros nowadays anyway so providing they are under 23 years of age, it's fine. :D
