My tip is Teutenberg.

Just a reminder for all Aussies, this will be televised live on SBS TWO tonight starting at around 11pm.

they will all race against her, but if things don't get too crazy she should win. She'll be loving the finish after all that distance.

Dutch have a strong team which helps. I wonder their tactics tho, do they use the van vleuten card.

Im sure the ussuals will be active, maybe Johansson could do something. Had a good season.

Yeah 11pm for us too. Everytime I hear them say the word live I want to chuck one of those old chunky television at them.

No mention of the Junior Mens race either? Can't be bothered putting them in the thread?

Poor young junior men. Their race is already underway and they are the only ones without a thread. Very animated, too.
Weather looks cool, cloudy and a bit of wind.

Is it even being broadcast? Eurosport is showing truck (!!) racing if you can believe that.

eta: ah, stupid not-yet-caffeinated me clicked the wrong channel. :D

Yes, the whole race is on UK Eurosport. HD, too.
International also have it all.
46.6kph for the first lap.
How fast are the elite men going to race this course?
France have gambled and put 4 men into the break.

The French are all over this race. Brilliant stuff, but many riders don't seem to want to ride with them

I shall go with anyone from the Netherlands compromising of Annemiek Van Vleuten, Marianne Vos,Kirsten Wild to at least podium. If they don't it would have been like If Lastras beat 4 Liquigas riders at the Vuelta. Especially since Vos and Vleuten have dominated. Ina and Johannson to round out the podium. I think a few Aussies could be prominent and Italy should be strong, though they shall have to do a lot of work. Also GB.

Vos will be second. She usually is.

I'm very tempted to say that nobody will want to go to the finish with Vos so Van Vleuten will win it from a small escape group.

I will also not rule Giorgia Bronzini doubling up out of this, the finish shouldn't be too difficult for her, unless it's raced really hard. If it's raced really hard then I can see the likes of Wild and Teutenberg being put under pressure, but I'd expect Bronzini to hold on rather longer than them.

Maybe we'll get some completely surprising random solo win like Bastianelli a few years ago though.

Heart says Lizzie A to add the world title to her national title. Head doesnt though.

The dutch look very strong, but im going to go left field and tip Judith Arndt

Not too left field though. I was thinking Arndt to podium. The tactics of the German team will be interesting as Teutenberg will be difficult to beat if it's a slow race. However, the Netherlanders will make it hard. Wild or Van Vleuten (most likely) will attack. I think it will be brought back this time though.

The British team will probably play it by ear. It's too easy a course for Pooley (the only real chance she's got of a medal is if she gets into a break with the likes of van Vleuten and/or Arndt), Cooke has been out of form this season, so I guess the tactic will be for Emma or Nicole (??) to go with the attacks and for Lizzie to sprint (all in all an GB are an outside chance for a medal).

Well if Bronzini won last year in Geelong then you'd think she'd be able to make the finish in Denmark. Germany has a strong team therefore I will tip Teutenberg. If Rochelle Gilmore for Australia has some good form then I see her doing well. Hosking could also do well for Australia. Good luck girls!
