For me, Any monument / world RR >>> every race other than the 3 GTs, and even then something like WRR, LBL or PRB is close to Vuelta.

Yes. And you said random, so I took the average prestige of the monuments.

I'm certain that no matter if you ask Purito (Lombardia winner) or Valverde (Dauphine winner) they would both prefer to win Lombardia.

Interesting.
I am sort of biased towards stage racing. Even if I see Paris-Roubaix as the fifth biggest race behind le Tour, il Giro, World RR and the Olympics.

But I never had an equal fascination for Lombardia, San-Remo and to some extend Tour of Flanders, even though the all are great races. I don't know, I just like the Dauphine. Too bad so many treat it like a warm up race before the tour thought.

As a 1 week stage race, only Tirreno Adriatico is prestigious enough to be worth more than a monument win (Milano - San Remo, it would have to be then) imo. I think, the Giro di Lombardia is one of the coolest races around after they implemented the Muro di Sormano in 2012.

I think Paris Nice is equal to Tirreno.

Other WT stage races are prep ups for other bigger targets while these two races are ones riders peak for at least.

Anyway, I think it surely depends on the rider, but monument indeed.

I'm quite sure Nibali would trade his two T-A for two MSR.

Any race where the best riders for this kind of race peak for, is the most important. Monuments are such races, Dauphiné Libéré isn't.

A few weeks ago the general opinion in this forum was if the Monument is won by Gerrans, Dauphiné >>>> Monument :p

I would put both Paris Nice and Criterium du Dauphine ahead of T-A, but both behind Paris Roubaix, RVV, LBL and MSR, not sure about Lombardia though

Definitely Monument > CdD

All the monuments are races with a huge history and that are main season goals for many competitors, plus i just like 1 day races more than 1 week stage races in general.

I really like Lombardia. Definitely i prefer 1 Lombardia over 2 Dauphine's.

I think i even prefer to win Strade Bianche or Clasica San Sebastian more.
