While most of us here could probably agree CrossFit is not particularly good to optimize cycling performance I think most advocates do not do CrossFit for this purpose. I have some relatives that love CrossFit. He is a policeman. She is a dancer. Both like it for the general conditioning benefits they receive. He recently won a Texas Nat Guard contest for his area and he attributes most of that to his cross-fit training. I am sure some cyclists do it because they don't want to look like a cyclist.

Yup, people love Gimmicks. Will no doubt be an Olympic Sport soon
Apparently you have never done a CrossFit workout. It is not cycling (or any other "sport") but it is not a gimmick. Tough workouts to be sure.

...or what amounts to outrageously priced circuit training with poorly designed workouts that are liable to injure people.

Discuss.

A very good description of a business that is creating a whole lot of future cripples.

Look up 'crossfit fail compilation' on youtube. That pretty much sums up the scam that is crossfit in general.

There is some funny and scary stuff in these.

One has someone picking up a barbell in his front room then accidentally knocking a hole in the front of his fish tank with it. I LOLed. Poor fish.

Among other videos, I watched two by Durianrider. I am afraid I have to give him a yellow card for excessive use of the word "mate."
