Whatever way you say it – it is a bloody long way on a bike!!
To Raise Money for the Heart Foundation
2 weeks today, I will be flying over to Perth to start my bike ride from Scarborough (WA) back home to Scarborough (Qld) 4,500 kms.
I am really keen to get going now - it seems to have been so long in the planning, and training, but now the time seems to be rushing by!!
It hasn't all gone smoothly as a week ago I was knocked off my bike while out on a training ride, by a delivery van.
My bike came off worse than me and ended up in "bike hospital". I had a few scratches and bruises but resorted to swimming and running to maintain fitness during the period I was bikeless!!
I have set up a facebook page, it would be great if you could visit it and "Like" the page. I will put regular updates on it throughout my ride!!
