The Hitch said:Dont know of any clubs. But geograhyy wise London is small enough that you should be able to do east as well .
I live a bit outside but once you get into london you can get to East London in no time.If you can do central you can do east.

Monty Dog said:The quality cycling from London is generally to the south and west - there's some great riding down to the southwest into the Surrey Hills (2012 Olympic roadrace route) - some of the west London clubs such as Twickenham, Hounslow, Kingston Wheelers, Hillingdon all regularly ride down this way. You need to ride for about 15-20 miles from the centre in any direction to get yourself free from the traffic. Richmond Park can get pretty busy at weekends - fine if you're short on time (I used to work in Roehampton 20-odd years ago) but the 'real' cycling is a bit further afield.
The Hitch said:Greater London is pretty huge but London proper is small enough at least from a cycling perspective. You can easily cycle from Hyde Park in the West to Tower Bridge in the East in 20 minutes.
Probably even faster from North to South.
